My methods

I bring a rare combination of medical expertise, evidence-based training, and compassionate coaching skills that sets me apart as your health and wellness coach.

more about how I work

  • Integrative health and wellness coaching is a client-centered, relationship-based approach to supporting the whole person. As your coach, I form a partnership with you to empower and guide you toward your personal goals for optimal health and well-being. Together, we look at all the core areas of life that influence your health—physical, emotional, social, and spiritual—and work to create balance and alignment.

In this process, you are in charge of your health and well-being. My role is to ask powerful questions, listen deeply, and help you uncover your own strengths and solutions. Through collaboration, we create a clear, realistic path forward and maximize your potential for lasting success.

  • Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, person-centered style of communication that helps you explore and strengthen your own motivation for change. Rather than being told what to do, you are guided to connect with your values, reasons, and confidence for making changes that truly matter to you.

Developed by Drs. William Miller and Stephen Rollnick, MI has decades of research proving its effectiveness in supporting health, lifestyle, and behavior change. This approach is especially helpful when you feel ambivalent or “stuck,” offering space to explore without judgment and to build momentum toward your goals.

  • As a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Palliative Care, I bring a depth of medical expertise to my coaching. This means the guidance you receive is grounded in up-to-date science and clinical knowledge, while still honoring your unique values, preferences, and life circumstances.

I do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or order in my role as a coach. Instead, I use my medical background to ensure that the information, resources, and perspectives I share with you are accurate, safe, and evidence-based. This integration of medical insight with the art of coaching allows you to make informed decisions and feel confident on your path toward lasting health.

  • My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect. I do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or order—I partner with you. Together, we discover what truly matters to you and translate that into meaningful, realistic steps toward better health.

In short, I combine the rigor of science with the heart of coaching. This unique blend ensures that you not only receive accurate, evidence-based guidance, but also the support, accountability, and encouragement you need to succeed.
